Whether you are joining us for business or leisure, we can cater for every occasion. Take advantage of our location, situated a 5 minute drive from Highclere Castle, the pub itself was part of the original Downton Abbey set, with our dining room still featuring the original stone walls.

Relax in one of our 18 beautiful boutique bedrooms after a walk around the beautiful grounds, or if you are a lover of long walks, explore the North Wessex Downs right on our doorstep, a national Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with ancient woodlands and downs to explore, famed as the inspiration for the classic novel, Watership Down.

Highclere Castle

Experience the grounds where the famous Downton Abbey was filmed (our pub was also a filming location!) and learn about all of its history and connections to the First World War.

Bombay Sapphire Distillery

One of the top gin distilleries in England, Laverstoke Mill is home to Bombay Sapphire. Spend the day taking a tour round the grounds, making a famous gin cocktail and learning how the distillery operates.
